Background:

- the Khmer Rouge army (soldiers, recruitment, and how they took over power in Cambodia);
- the Cambodian genocide (specifically the treatment innocent civilians received and were forced to endure during the genocide);
- Pol Pot (what he wanted, what he did, his background, education, philosophy);
- what happened to the leaders of the Khmer Rouge once the genocide ended (trials, prison time, their defense).
